Why does Dongguan mold heater/oil mold heater/oil heater overflow oil, cause analysis and solution
Date: 2023-11-05 14:00:22

When using Dongguan mold heater/oil mold heater/oil heater, customers will find that the system pressure fluctuates up and down with the rise of temperature, the temperature fluctuates greatly, and the oil tank overflows.
There are three reasons for the above situation:
1. Do not fill the heat transfer oil above the normal level of the oil tank. The expansion space of the oil heater oil tank is not enough for the heat transfer oil to overflow.
Solution: drain excess heat transfer oil from the oil drain to the normal level.
2. The cause of oil overflow is insufficient expansion volume of oil tank (judgment of insufficient expansion of oil tank)
The system pressure does not change significantly with the rise of temperature, but the oil level of the oil tank level display pipe is constantly rising. Finally, it can be judged that the oil tank selection is too small and the expansion volume is insufficient.
Solution: replace the oil tank with a larger size.
3. There is residual water in the pipeline or water in the heat transfer oil component, which leads to oil-water mixing, high temperature water gasification causes system pressure instability, and oil tank overflow;
Determination of oil-water mixture
The system pressure is normal at normal temperature. When the temperature rises (above 80 ℃), the system pressure gauge shakes up and down, and there is a large amount of white smoke in the oil tank or heat transfer oil overflows, it can be judged that there is water in the oil.
Method of oil boiling and dehydration:
Remove the upper cover of the machine and open the oil tank cover (if there is manual exhaust, open it). Set the temperature to about 100 ℃, and then check the system pressure gauge. When the system pressure is stable, add it up by one degree and two degrees. If the system pressure decreases again at this time, immediately lower the temperature again, and add it up by one degree and two degrees after the pressure is stable. With this method, the oil temperature will be controlled at about 130 ℃ (no more than 130 ℃) under stable pressure. Too high temperature will also lead to too fast oxidation of heat transfer oil and affect its service life.) Let it run for 1-2 hours for dehydration and oil boiling. After the system pressure is completely stable, it can be warmed up again. If the system pressure is stable halfway, it can be closed for normal production (if there is manual exhaust, it should also be closed). (Note: The temperature can be set directly when the machine is started next time, without cooking oil again.)
