The leakage detection of the refrigeration system of Dongguan water chiller includes the leakage detection of refrigeration compressors, condensers, evaporators, drying filters, capillaries, and other components, as well as the leakage detection of a closed system composed of refrigeration pipelines. The refrigeration system should be a sealed and clean system, and the system should be leak tested after purging and cleaning. So what are the methods of leak detection for the refrigeration system of Dongguan water chiller?
There are six methods:
1: Hand touch oil leakage detection
The current refrigerant used in Dongguan water chillers is R22, which has a certain degree of mutual solubility with refrigerant oil. When R22 leaks, the refrigerant will also seep or drip out. Using this feature, it is possible to determine whether there is a leak at this location by visual inspection or hand touching for oil contamination. When there is less leakage and it is not obvious to touch with your fingers, you can wear white gloves or white paper to contact the suspected area, and you can also detect the leakage.
2: Soap bubble leak detection
First, cut the soap into thin slices and soak it in warm water to dissolve it into a thick liquid soap. During leak detection, wipe off the stains on the inspected part with gauze, dip a clean brush with soap solution, and evenly smear it around the inspected part. Carefully observe for bubbles. If there are soap bubbles, it indicates that there is a leak. Sometimes, it is necessary to first fill the system with 0.8-1.0 Mpa (8-10 kgf/cm2) of nitrogen.
3: Pressure charging leak detection
After the cooling system of the Dongguan water chiller has been repaired and welded, it is best to charge 1.5Mpa nitrogen and close the three-way maintenance valve (the valve itself cannot leak) near the end of work before filling in refrigerant. "When working the next day, if the gauge pressure does not drop, it indicates that the repaired refrigeration system does not leak.". If the gauge pressure drops, it indicates that there is a leak, and then use the soap bubble leak detection method to detect the leak.
4: Water leak detection
This method is commonly used for leak detection of components such as compressors (note that the wiring terminals should be protected against water), evaporators, condensers, etc. The method is to fill the evaporator with 0.8MPa nitrogen, and the condenser with 1.9MPa nitrogen (for heat pump type air conditioners, both should be filled with 1.9MPa nitrogen). Immerse them in warm water at about 50 ℃, and carefully observe for bubbles.
The purpose of using warm water is to reduce the surface tension of water, because the lower the temperature of water, the greater the surface tension, and small leaks cannot be detected. The leak detection site should have sufficient light and a calm water surface. The observation time should not be less than 30 seconds, and the workpiece should preferably be immersed below 20 cm in the water surface. After immersion leak detection, the components shall be dried before repair welding.
5: Halogen lamp leak detection
Ignite the halogen lamp and slowly move the suction hose at the leak detection location. The flame of a halogen lamp is blue during normal combustion. When there is a leakage of Freon working fluid at the inspected place, the flame color of the lamp holder will significantly change, with the flames being slightly green, light green, and dark green. When encountering a large amount of leakage, the flame appears purple. When a halogen lamp emits smoke, it indicates a large amount of leakage of freon refrigerant, and the use of halogen lamps should be stopped because freon will decompose and produce toxic gases after combustion in the presence of fire. That is, the flame color changes from light green to dark green to purple, and the leakage amount changes from slight leakage to severe leakage.
6: Electronic leak detector for leak detection
The main parts for leak detection are: the welding points of the suction and exhaust pipes of the compressor; Welding positions of small elbows, inlet and outlet pipes, and various branch pipes of evaporator and condenser: such as connections of dryer, globe valve, electromagnetic valve, thermal expansion valve, distributor, liquid storage tank, etc.
Judgment on the difference between leakage and blockage: After repairing the leakage, vacuuming, and refilling the refrigerant, the cooling effect of the Dongguan water chiller can be restored; If it is a blockage, even if fluoride is added, the Dongguan water chiller still cannot cool and the pressure is abnormal.
